    A: As per Taiwan's work permit requirements for English language teachers, you must hold a passport from a country that has English as an official language (e.g. Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, UK, and South Africa, etc.).
  • Q: What qualifications are required to work in New World English?
    A: Candidates must:
    Be a native English speaker
    Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
    Have a clean criminal record in home country and in Taiwan
    Pass the required health check for Taiwanese work permits
  • Q: Will New World English sponsor my work permit? Am I eligible for Taiwanese labor and health insurance?
    A: Yes, New World English will sponsor your work permit, and you will have both labor and health insurance while working at NWE. Self-payment for labor and health insurance will be deducted from your salary, estimated to be around TWD 2,500.
  • Q: What kind of accommodation is provided, and what options are available if I need to find my own housing?
    A: New World English provides an employee dormitory for the first three months of your employment. During this period, our HR staff will also assist you in finding suitable rental house options and communicating with Taiwanese landlords to ensure you have a comfortable and convenient living arrangement.
  • Q: What is the cost of living in Taiwan, and how does it compare to my home country?
    A: The cost of living in Taiwan is generally lower than in many Western countries. Expenses such as food, transportation, and housing are quite affordable. For example, a meal at a local restaurant can cost around TWD 100-200, and public transportation is very reasonably priced. Rent can vary depending on the location, but our HR team will help you find accommodations that fit your budget.
  • Q: What teaching resources and support will be available to me at the school?
    A: At New World English, you will have access to a wide range of teaching resources, including digital platforms, textbooks, supplementary materials, and even a YouTube channel with hundreds of teaching videos! Our team is dedicated to providing ongoing support through regular training sessions, peer collaboration, and access to a variety of teaching tools to enhance your classroom experience.
