We refuse all chemical additives, follow the rhythms of the seasons, and work hand in hand with farmers, relying on nature’s timing and honoring every harvest.

The Beginning of Green Farm

Everyone is a small point of light.

The Green Farm began as a quiet glow in the vast ocean— a small green light emerging from the beautiful land of Hualien. For the sake of the environment and nature, we chose to shine in our own way. We believe that even the smallest effort can real change for this magnificent landscape and its warm rural communities.

Through this distillery, we hope more people will see that in eastern Taiwan, there are countless individuals living with care and intention, and countless stories of land that deserve to be seen and remembered. Guided by passion and belief, we chose to stay, to take root, and to light a lamp for this land in our own way.

The Artisan Story of Andreas Chang

Creating something real and meaningful with my own hands has always been my original intention.

In 2019, my wife and I longed for a simpler life—one closer to nature.
We came to Hualien and were deeply moved by the purity of its landscape and the richness of its culture. After settling in Chike Mountain, Yuli, we became even more convinced that this land was a true treasure—abundant with diverse and precious agricultural products and cultural scenery.

It was here that we decided to establish a distillery rooted in local agriculture and local production, beginning our journey into the world of spirits.
Taiwan offers an abundance of high-quality raw materials, yet knowledge of distillation and traditional spirits-making remains relatively limited. Beyond my previous experience, I immersed myself in further study—learning through books, research, experimentation, and guidance from experienced practitioners.

The path was not without obstacles: regulatory limitations, difficulties in sourcing equipment, and countless practical challenges. Yet along the way, I encountered farmers, craftsmen, and distillers whose honesty and dedication deeply inspired me. They devote themselves fully to their work, respecting every detail without compromise.

I came to believe that when you are truly passionate about something, you should never give up easily. If you keep searching for solutions, unexpected help will appear—sometimes from people you have never met before.

The Essence of Craft
Focus, patience, and respect for ingredients

Taiwan is home to countless plants and fruits I had never encountered in Europe. Every new ingredient sparks curiosity: What flavors does it hold? How will it transform through distillation or infusion? Each experiment becomes a journey of discovery.

I still remember the first time I distilled daylily root. As the aroma slowly filled the air—delicate, layered, and evocative—it felt like a forgotten spring brought back to life. In that moment, I was completely absorbed. That was my true craft moment—the embodiment of artisan spirit.

To me, distilling is not merely a technical process. It is a form of craftsmanship that blends local ingredients with creativity. The essence of craft lies in attention, patience, and respect for raw materials. It is not about replicating something that already exists, but about honestly creating flavors that belong to this land.

When we produce spirits and liqueurs, we are telling the story of a place and a season—transforming nature’s gifts into flavors meant to be shared.

In an age where most things are industrialized and rapidly replicated, this dedication to handcrafted work has become more precious than ever.

From selecting every batch of raw ingredients to shaping the final flavor of each spirit,every step is personally tested and overseen by him.

He is committed to using locally grown agricultural produce,never adding artificial flavors—
allowing nature to express itself in its purest form.

More than a distiller,Andreas is a creator who lives the craftsman’s spirit in every aspect of life,working with his hands to make things that are honest, meaningful, and true.

Originally from Taipei,Cathy Chen oversees administration, marketing, brand creativity, and daily operations—the driving force that keeps The Green Farm moving forward.

From laying concrete floors to pulling weeds and maintaining the grounds, from planning events to responding to customers, she takes care of everything with her own hands.

Through her dedication, ideals are no longer just dreams— they are patiently and steadily woven into everyday life at Green Spot.

Dian DianThe True Owner of The Green Farm|Often Called Lin Chi-Ling of the Dog World.

Rescued from an animal shelter in Hualien, Dian Dian is tall, elegant, and effortlessly charming— often the very first “lady of the house” noticed by visitors.

Alert yet gentle, affectionate and well-mannered, she is an important part of the The Green Farm welcome team, greeting every guest with quiet confidence and warmth.

Pong-PongThe Energetic Sweetheart Who Can Jump Without a Stick

Once a stray puppy found by a niece in a park, Pong-Pong has since become an indispensable member of The Green Farm.

Overflowing with energy and always eager for attention, he is everyone’s source of laughter and joy. His signature move is rolling onto his back and proudly showing off his round little belly while sleeping.

JiajiaThe King of The Green Farm|The Family’s Beloved Little Emperor

Adopted through an online rescue, Jiajia was once saved from a river— and now lives a life of absolute devotion and love.

His daily responsibilities include being petted, being fed, and patrolling the distillery grounds to maintain order— an order defined entirely by cuteness.
