Why apply wax or a protective coating after polishing? Do you know the importance of this protective layer?
Polishing removes a very thin layer of paint, leaving the surface smooth and relatively exposed (including the paint itself and pores).
If a protective layer isn't applied immediately, air pollutants such as industrial dust and acidic substances will adhere to the paint, accelerating oxidation.
This also makes it prone to water stains and foreign matter buildup. Protective wax forms a temporary barrier on the surface, maintaining gloss and water resistance; coating provides a longer-lasting, hardened protective layer, enhancing UV and stain resistance.
ALOMAX's water-based polishing agents (S20 and S18) are silicone-free and filler-free. After polishing, you can directly apply ALOMAX quartz coating solution, eliminating the need for degreasing, saving time and not affecting coating adhesion.
Polishing restores the paint surface to its original cleanliness, while enhancing protection and making the coating last longer.
