Glac Biotech Launches New Facility to Evolve their Probiotic GigaFactory
Since last year (2021) upgrading the packaging and filling equipment, Glac Biotech, has invested around $US14 million to launch the most sophisticated probiotic manufacturing facility this year for responding to the climbing market demands and strengthening proNEX probiotics manufacturing technology, called “Smart Instant Cooling Liquid Nitrogen System”, which will greatly improve the stability and environmental tolerance of their probiotics, compared to the traditional manufacturing processes.
After comprehensively upgrading the equipment of the probiotic manufacturing technology, proNEX has been greatly optimized in three phases. In the first phase, it adopts a fully automatic program-controlled fermentation system to ensure that the bacteria are cultivated under the optimal fermentation conditions with consistent output of high-quality probiotics;
In the second phase, the whole process of separation and purification uses continuous centrifugation to achieve the effect of high protection for strain separation;
In the third phase of the patented freeze-drying technology (patent number: TW M456473), Glac Biotech is using the world class "Smart Instant Cooling Liquid Nitrogen System" to work with the exclusive patented micro-encapsulation embedding technology (patent number: TW M613340). Once the probiotics are coated, the probiotics are automatically and quantitatively spread into the tunnel-type cold room, and the probiotics are rapidly brought into a dormant condition. With vacuumed freeze-drying process and pharmaceutical class grinder, probiotics are transformed into powder form. This new equipment has not only considerably improved the quality and stability of Glac Biotech’s probiotics, but increased the production capacity substantially.
