Artificial agarwood slabs and round sticks are used as raw materials for making beads. They can be made in any size (mm), in any number of strands, and with any desired blackness through polishing,
oiling, or heating.
Natural old agarwood is abundant in raw materials for making prayer beads, but large sizes are rare... The finished beads are indistinguishable from artificial ones in appearance,
except for the burnt holes and their unique characteristics. Only time will reveal the true quality!
Generally speaking, agarwood from the Thymelaeaceae family is edible, absorbing its fragrance and bittersweet taste...
Artificial agarwood beads, when ingested, will cause a burning pain in the throat, but will also emit a fragrant agarwood aroma!
