Why are solid parts from Vietnam so expensive?

The friend asked if I could recommend some solid goods from Vietnam?
Why are solid goods from Vietnam so expensive? In the past, solid agarwood from Vietnam (what we call "water-sinking" or "floating water-sinking") was a high-priced commodity, not now!
You probably wouldn't want solid wood sawed from living, white-wood trees either. It's just that many counterfeit products have confused the price of agarwood. (Most buyers only realize it's fake after a while, but it's too late!)
Why is it so expensive? Because it's inherently scarce; once harvested, it's gone. Those with the means and enthusiasts mostly only buy, not sell. Many of my clients are like this...
International oil extraction companies monopolize the shipments from entire agarwood producing regions, extracting the oil to use as base oils for perfumes. (This is the case with Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian agarwood.) A few years ago, with China's booming economy, they began buying up top-grade water-sinking agarwood at high prices. You can check various websites for the distribution and export of agarwood; ultimately, it all ends up in China. As a result, the price of agarwood, which is scarce in Indonesia, has skyrocketed. "If you don't buy, many others will be scrambling to get it!!!"

Every agarwood enthusiast knows that good agarwood needs time to harden, absorb resin, and develop symbiosis... The final result of these processes is the good agarwood we want to collect. You know this, and others know it too. The difference is that we're too calculating and hesitate to act, causing the price of agarwood to keep rising and we can't keep up... Many agarwood enthusiasts have gone through a lot of trouble, buying what they believe to be cheap and high-quality agarwood after comparing prices everywhere...
Unfortunately, by the time they actually start buying genuine agarwood or truly understand it, all their previous spending has been wasted, and they can't seem to sell it... Of course, the above is just an experience sharing, provided for agarwood enthusiasts' reference.Thank you everyone
