A customer asked:
1. What are the differences between Indonesian and Laotian agarwood? How can they be distinguished?
2. Are there other agarwood producing areas?
3. Is Indonesian agarwood more expensive?

Answers
to 1.2: Indonesian agarwood comes from several regions, including Malaysia, Sorong, Kalimantan, Ambon, Jayapura, Sumatra, Tarakan, Irian Jaya, Malak, etc. Besides appearance and oil lines, the most important difference between Indonesian agarwood and Laotian agarwood is their aroma. The aromas of these different regions also vary! Distinguishing them relies on their aroma. Each region in Indonesia has its own unique and rich fragrance; while Laotian agarwood has a sweet and fragrant aroma. The best way is to directly taste the raw wood from each region to differentiate them. ^^
3. The materials used for incense appreciation and beads are different, and the price of water-soaked agarwood varies depending on its mineralization time. Therefore, it's not a matter of whether Indonesian agarwood is expensive or cheap; it depends on the intended use. ^^ Thank you for your

inquiry. A customer asked: Hello boss, I'd like to ask, some 20mm black sinking-grade agarwood beads are selling for 1500 yuan each. Are there really genuine ones that big? Could you please teach me a few simple ways to distinguish between real and fake? Thank you!

Reply
: Hello: Real 20mm sinking-grade agarwood beads do exist, but they absolutely cannot be machined to that price! You can try asking friends or merchants who know about sinking-grade wood how much it costs per kilogram in various producing areas; that might give you some clues. There are already sinking-grade beads on the market that are not from the Thymelaeaceae family, and the price is as you mentioned. It's not easy to distinguish between real and fake; I suggest you buy from a reputable merchant. Thank you for

your inquiry. Hello~ I just asked about the 12mm fast sinking beads, what's the difference between this one and the 12mm ones, and what's the price of this 10mm one?

Answer:
Hello~ This type of aquarium bead is semi-sinking, and the texture is also hard, but because it can't sink quickly, the price is cheaper! This 10mm one is available in black, xxx yuan per bead (this price is valid for one week), thank you!

Inquiry from a fellow aquarium enthusiast: Hello~ When you say "cannot sink quickly," do you mean it floats on the surface, or it sinks slowly? Also, is this a machine-made or water-polished bead? Are you sure it's free of oiling and any artificial repairs?

Answer:
Hello~ We guarantee there are no repairs or oiling. Our shop has been in the incense industry in Zhonghe for 50 years. Besides promoting traditional incense culture, we've also published articles reminding buyers how to check the agarwood oil content of agarwood prayer beads. We wouldn't damage our reputation for one product, so please rest assured, you and all buyers~ Thank you^^ 1. It still sinks, but slowly~ Thank you~^^

A customer asked: Hello~ I have a few questions!! What's the difference between the grade of this bracelet I bought and the 4A/petrified wood bracelet from another store that's practically the same? Which one is better? How much is the 10mm version of that bracelet priced? Also, I had a pair of Jayabula aquarium beads for my wife to wear before. Because they were frequently exposed to water, they still sink after half a year, but many beads have cracked (quite severely). Should I avoid frequent contact with water with this bracelet I bought, or the 4A/petrified wood bracelet? Will the above situation occur?

Answer:
Hello~ I'm very happy to receive your letter~
First, I'll answer your questions:
1. The 10mm beads you have are of the same quality as our 4A grade 16mm beads. The ones I selected for you are the darkest of the 10mm beads, almost sinking grade!!! I already warned buyers about this in the auction information, but it's indeed difficult to prevent!!! Of course, excluding human factors, if the surface of a water-sinking bead is dry but the inside is wet, it will start to crack after a period of time!!! Therefore, when I process the raw wood, I must let it sit for a long time to allow the water to dry before cutting off the cracked parts. Our fast-sinking water-sinking beads have dense oil lines and grids, so they won't get wet~ Thank you~^^

2. If you observe carefully, you will find that the grain pattern of my processed agarwood beads is different from the cracked beads you previously purchased, making them less prone to cracking;

3. To be precise, wooden Buddha beads and hand beads should try to avoid touching water. Water-sinking beads cannot absorb water under the careful coating of the oil grid, and can last for a very long time. Therefore, the preciousness of water-sinking beads lies here... Of course, I will provide you with the above information for your reference before seeing the real thing~^^
Question from Shen Friend: I have a bunch of agarwood hand beads that are dark brown and almost black. I soaked them in hot water, and the fragrance they gave off was slightly mint. After soaking, the beads turned white, like a layer of white stuff wrapped around them. You can scrape off the white stuff with your fingernails, but they are very fragrant! But the texture of the beads is... :)

Reply
Hello, welcome to the group... Based on your description, it's true that people who love agarwood beads might have doubts... Therefore, I'll provide actual pictures for your reference... I hope you understand.
